Pray through the membership directory

Most churches want members to pray for one another. Few want another social feed, notification stream, or public prayer wall. Church Directory’s Pray tab is built for the quieter habit: walk through your congregation’s roster over days or weeks, see who is up next, and keep optional private notes that stay yours alone.

What Pray is (and isn’t)

Each day you get a short list of people from your church’s private directory. You can include birthdays, family names, supported workers, and a shared church prayer card when your church enables it. There is no public timeline and no ads.

My Prayer notes are private. Note text is encrypted on your device before it is stored; other members and church admins do not see your notes as readable text. On iPhone and Android, notes can stay available offline; on the web app, notes need a network connection.

A rhythm that fits real life

Choose a pace that covers the membership over about 14, 30, or 60 days. The goal is not perfection — it is that fewer people are never prayed for at all. Members set their own preferences for birthdays, family context, and private notes.

How churches get started

Self-serve setup today uses Planning Center People as the roster source. Planning Center remains your system of record; Church Directory syncs names, photos, and families so members do not re-enter the list. Automatic sync runs about every four hours; admins can also run Sync now from church admin.
